Theme Scripture: Proverbs 4:23 – “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”

Day 1 – God Builds the Person Before the Platform

1 Samuel 16:7 – “The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Reflection:

Before David became king, God was shaping his heart in the fields. Sometimes we want the kingdom assignment before we’ve learned the shepherd lessons. Don’t rush the process, God is preparing you in private for what He’ll trust you with in public.

Prayer:

Lord, help me to value the process more than the promotion. Work on my heart before You elevate my hands.

Reflection Question:

Where is God shaping me quietly before revealing me publicly?

Day 2 – Lead Yourself Before You Lead Others

1 Timothy 4:16 – “Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by doing so you will save both yourself and your hearers.”

Reflection:

True leadership begins with self-leadership. Before you can guide others, you must discipline your own thoughts, habits, and emotions. The greatest leader is the one who governs their own spirit with grace and truth.

Prayer:

Lord, teach me to lead myself well, with discipline, humility, and wisdom, so I can lead others with grace.

Reflection Question:

How can I lead myself better this week, in my time, attitude, or emotions?

Day 3 – The Making Happens in the Waiting

James 1:4 – “Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”

Reflection:

Waiting seasons are never wasted seasons. The becoming happens when things seem still. God refines our patience, strengthens our faith, and tests our motives. Don’t despise the delay, it’s divine development.

Prayer:

Father, help me to trust You in my waiting. Let this season grow my character and deepen my faith.

Reflection Question:

Am I embracing the lessons in this season, or just longing for the next one?

Day 4 – Becoming Like Jesus in Leadership

John 13:14–15 – “Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.”

Reflection:

Jesus led with love, humility, and service. He wasn’t trying to be followed. He was trying to serve. In every meeting, decision, or business challenge, ask yourself: What would Jesus do as a leader here? That’s where true transformation happens.

Prayer:

Jesus, teach me to lead like You, with love that listens, hands that serve, and a heart that obeys.

Reflection Question:

Do I lead to be seen or to serve?

Day 5 – I Am Becoming Before I Build

Philippians 1:6 – “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

Reflection:

You don’t have to have it all figured out. You’re becoming. God is still working, shaping, and refining you for the call ahead. Don’t compare your progress to others, stay faithful to your process.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You that You are still working in me. I trust You with my process, my purpose, and my pace.

Reflection Question:

How can I celebrate who I’m becoming, not just what I’m building?

Weekly Declaration

I am becoming before I build. God is shaping my heart to sustain my purpose. I lead myself with integrity, I serve others with humility, and I walk confidently in who God is making me to be.

Dag 1 – God Vorm die Persoon Voor die Platform

1 Samuel 16:7 – “Die Here kyk nie na die uiterlike dinge waarna mense kyk nie. Mense kyk na die uiterlike, maar die Here kyk na die hart.”

Besinning:

Voordat Dawid koning geword het, het God sy hart in die veld gevorm. Partykeer wil ons die koninkryksopdrag hê voordat ons die herderslesse geleer het. Moenie die proses haas nie — God berei jou in privaatheid voor vir dit wat Hy jou in die openbaar gaan toevertrou.

Gebed:

Here, help my om die proses meer te waardeer as die bevordering. Werk aan my hart voordat U my hande verhoog.

Besinningsvraag:

Waar is God besig om my stilletjies te vorm voordat Hy my openbaar gebruik?

Dag 2 – Lei Jouself Voor Jy Ander Lei

1 Timoteus 4:16 – “Gee noukeurig ag op jouself en op jou leer. Volhard daarin, want as jy dit doen, sal jy sowel jouself as jou hoorders red.”

Besinning:

Ware leierskap begin met self-leierskap. Voor jy ander kan lei, moet jy jou eie gedagtes, gewoontes en emosies dissiplineer. Die grootste leier is die een wat sy eie gees met genade en waarheid regeer.

Gebed:

Here, leer my om myself goed te lei — met dissipline, nederigheid en wysheid — sodat ek ander met genade kan lei.

Besinnings vraag:

Hoe kan ek hierdie week myself beter lei — in my tyd, houding of emosies?

Dag 3 – Die Vorming Gebeur in die Wagtyd

Jakobus 1:4 – “Maar die volharding moet sy volle uitwerking hê, sodat julle volmaak en heel kan wees, sonder enige tekort.”

Besinning:

Wagtye is nooit vermorste tye nie. Die vorming gebeur wanneer dinge stil lyk. God verfyn ons geduld, versterk ons geloof, en toets ons motiewe. Moenie die vertraging verag nie — dis goddelike ontwikkeling.

Gebed:

Vader, help my om U te vertrou in my wagseisoen. Laat hierdie tyd my karakter verdiep en my geloof versterk.

Besinnings vraag:

Omhels ek die lesse van hierdie seisoen, of verlang ek net na die volgende een?

Dag 4 – Word Soos Jesus in Leierskap

Johannes 13:14–15 – “As Ek, julle Here en Leermeester, julle voete gewas het, behoort julle ook mekaar se voete te was.”

Besinning:

Jesus het met liefde, nederigheid en diensbaarheid gelei. Hy het nie probeer om gevolg te word nie — Hy het gekies om te dien. In elke vergadering, besluit of uitdaging in besigheid, vra jouself: Wat sou Jesus as leier hier gedoen het? Dis waar ware transformasie begin.

Gebed:

Jesus, leer my om soos U te lei — met liefde wat luister, hande wat dien, en ’n hart wat gehoorsaam.

Besinnings vraag:

Lei ek om gesien te word, of lei ek om te dien?

Dag 5 – Ek Word Voor Ek Bou

Filippense 1:6 – “Ek is daarvan oortuig dat Hy wat die goeie werk in julle begin het, dit sal voltooi tot op die dag van Christus Jesus.”

Besinning:

Jy hoef nie alles nou te verstaan nie. Jy is besig om te word. God werk steeds, vorm steeds, en berei jou steeds voor vir die roeping wat voorlê. Moenie jou vooruitgang met ander vergelyk nie — wees getrou aan jou eie proses.

Gebed:

Here, dankie dat U steeds in my werk. Ek vertrou U met my proses, my doel en my pas.

Besinnings vraag:

Hoe kan ek vier wie ek besig is om te word — nie net wat ek bou nie?

Weeklikse Verklaring

Ek word voor ek bou. God vorm my hart om my doel te dra. Ek lei myself met integriteit, Ek dien ander met nederigheid, en ek stap met sekerheid in wie God my besig is om te maak.
